The Firm of McGrail, Merkel, Quinn & Associates is owned by Francis J. Merkel, CPA; Joseph J. Quinn, CPA; and John H. Marx, Jr., CPA. Following are their professional highlights:

CONSULTANTS

Francis J. Merkel, CPA brings over 28 years of professional experience in public accounting to McGrail, Merkel, Quinn & Associates. Mr. Merkel began his career with the national firm of Arthur Andersen & Co., New York, NY. In 1979, Mr. Merkel became a Partner of McGrail, Merkel, Quinn & Associates. His experience with the Firm focuses on non-profit, financial services, governmental, corporate accounting and taxation, as well as individual tax and estate planning. Mr. Merkel is a trained reviewer under the AICPA Peer Review Program. He is responsible for overall Firm administration, including hiring, training and staff assignments. Joseph J. Quinn, CPA brings over 26 years of experience in public accounting to McGrail, Merkel, Quinn & Associates. As an Audit Partner of the Firm since 1982, Mr. Quinn directs the Firm's corporate practice through the supervision of qualified staff personnel. His direction is most visible in the non-profit, healthcare, outdoor advertising, governmental accounting and corporate tax segments. John H. Marx, Jr., CPA brings over 26 years of experience to McGrail,Merkel, Quinn & Associates. Mr. Marx began his career with other local Firms. His extensive experience prompted Mr. Marx to become a sole practitioner serving a broad clientele in Northeastern Pennsylvania. On January 1, 1987, he merged his practice into the Firm of McGrail, Merkel, Quinn & Associates. His extensive experiences in corporate, non-profit, governmental and individual tax segments have brought added value to the Firm. Associates

Daniel J. Gerrity, CPA, Senior Manager, has 12 years of experience with our Firm with an emphasis in financial services, corporate tax, non-profit, governmental and manufacturing. Mr. Gerrity is an experienced technical reviewer within our Firm and is heavily involved in the administration and training related to our Quality Control Program. As part of his duties, he directs all financial services work as well as the work of other staff personnel while scheduling staff assignments on a regular basis. David P. Rudis, CPA, Manager, has 10 years of experience with our Firm specializing in governmental, non-profit, outdoor advertising and corporate work. As a result of his Master's degree in Finance, Mr. Rudis is also heavily involved in management advisory services, including litigation support work and personal financial planning. He is also experienced with PC-Based computers and provides professional technical support for both our clients and the Firm itself, including the review of our banking clients' data centers. Lisa A. Fischetti, CPA, Supervisor, has 11 years of experience with our Firm with an emphasis in banking (both commercial and trust services), plus non-profit, governmental, small business and taxes. Ms. Fischetti also assists in the planning and administration of audit engagements and serves as a professional advisor to staff personnel in audit and accounting matters. Mary Ann E. Novak, CPA, Supervisor, has 8 years of experience with our Firm, specializing in healthcare, non-profit, banking, and retail industries. Her healthcare experience concentrates on third-party reimbursements and the preparation of cost reports. Ms. Novak also provides technical and administrative support for staff personnel on audit engagements and is involved with tax planning and consulting for small businesses.
